A three-star recruit from Shelby, North Carolina, Hopper produced at Appalachian State for three years — including nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 2024 — then matched that at Tulane in 2025 with 29 tackles, nine TFL and 4.5 sacks before transferring to Colorado for 2026. At 6-2 and 265 pounds he is an undersized interior penetrator who wins with leverage and a fast swim move, and he opened his Big 12 career with a tackle for loss against Georgia Tech.
