"Ahmad Moten weighs 325 pounds and gets off the ball like a man fifty pounds lighter. Nine tackles for loss and second-team All-ACC in 2025 is what that combination produces."
A four-star recruit from Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale who has spent his whole career at Miami, Moten went from a rotational role in 2024 — 14 tackles and a sack — to a second-team All-ACC breakout in 2025 with 31 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. At 6-3 and 325 pounds he is a gap-shooting three-technique whose get-off and hand power shock interior linemen before they can set.
What he does well
- 01Elite Anchor/Lower-Body Power — Moten's strong base absorbs double teams, transferring energy efficiently from hips to hands for immediate momentum stops.
- 02Extension Control/Hand Fighting — Uses long arms for first contact, winning leverage and executing violent lockouts to shed blockers quickly.
