Grugier-Hill.
Eastern Illinois
Kamu Grugier-Hill is best suited for schemes that prioritize speed and coverage ability from their linebackers, such as a 4-3 Cover 3 or a 3-4 nickel package.
Initially a special teams ace and sub-package coverage linebacker on passing downs, with a ceiling as a starting Will linebacker in a speed-based defensive scheme.
Grugier-Hill would be a poor fit for a traditional 3-4 two-gap scheme where linebackers are expected to consistently engage and shed larger blockers against the run.
His athleticism and coverage skills make him a valuable asset in modern pass-heavy NFL schemes, though his size limits his effectiveness in power-run situations.
Relative Athletic Score (Kent Lee Platte) benchmarks combine/pro-day numbers against every measured prospect at the position since 1987. 10.00 is elite; 5.00 is average.
