Why the 2027 QB1 Is Not Decided Yet

Sayin has the efficiency case. Moore and Manning make the projection more complicated.

The strongest reason to keep the 2027 quarterback race open is not that the leading names lack experience. Their completed 2025 seasons already offer substantial, different bodies of work. Julian Sayin, Dante Moore and Arch Manning should be compared through those differences rather than described as three versions of the same unfinished prospect.

Sayin completed 301 of 391 passes for 3,610 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions at Ohio State. Moore completed 296 of 412 for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and ten interceptions at Oregon. Manning completed 248 of 404 for 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions at Texas.

Those are the starting records for this June discussion, not 2026 projections. They give Sayin the strongest straightforward passing-efficiency case of the three. They also show why a single rate cannot settle the professional order.
